Mr. Burney is a Senior Asset Manager at Capview Partners, where he is responsible for managing Capview’s portfolio of single-family rental residential real estate and supporting the Director of Real Estate Execution. He has 7 years’ experience in commercial real estate investment management and transactions, office and retail leasing, asset management, and financial analysis.

Prior to joining Capview, Mr. Burney worked as an analyst for Dallas-based real estate investment family office where he began his career being directly involved in all underwriting, acquisition, due diligence, disposition, and financing activities. Mr. Burney was promoted to the role of asset manager where he was responsible for the execution of the portfolio’s business plan including all lease transaction activities, budgeting, and capital expenditure projects for the family office’s 1.1M sq. ft. mixed-use real estate portfolio. In his time as an analyst and asset manager, Mr. Burney was an integral team member directly involved in the execution and management of over $250M total transaction value.

Mr. Burney graduated from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University where he earned a BBA in Finance. He currently resides in Dallas with his wife and enjoys quality family time back home in the Hill Country, playing Australian rules football, traveling, and snow skiing.
